Owned and operated by Hyundai Motor, the Mabuk Center conducts cutting-edge research of fuel cell stacks and systems, drive motor systems, and hydrogen storage systems, the critical components of hydrogen-electric vehicles.

The global spotlight shines on Chungju Plant 2 as the first factory in the world to establish a mass-production line for hydrogen fuel cells for vehicles. This leader in eco-friendly vehicle technology is now supplying fuel cells for Hyundai's NEXO SUV, XCIENT Fuel Cell heavy-duty truck, and ELEC City, the hydrogen-electric bus.

HTWO Guangzhou is the Hyundai Motor Company's first overseas subsidiary devoted to manufacturing hydrogen fuel cells. HTWO signed an MOU with Guangzhou City to facilitate full-fledged cooperation in the hydrogen business and expansion of the hydrogen industry ecosystem and started plant construction with the goal of completion in 2022. This will serve as a stepping stone for the Company and its plans to expand the application of the hydrogen fuel cell system into a broad range of industries.
